Our goal is to teach you how to successfully rock climb with gear while also having fun. We go by the challenge by choice method when teaching with a focus on human development. All courses are family friendly. Learning climbing skills takes time and everyone progresses at different rates. Our guides are there to make sure you stay safe but also facilitate learning at your speed. Our guide to client ratio is 6 participants to 1 Guide. All courses are taught, guided, and led by experienced and certified guides including Single Pitch Instructors through the AMGA (American Mountain Guides Association) and CWI (Climbing Wall Instructor) through CWA (Climbing Wall Association).

Austin Greenbelt Rock Climbing Courses
If you are booking for a minor (17 yrs or younger) they need to be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or adult chaperone. Must be 8 years old or older to participate.
(Greenbelt) Beginner: Top Rope
This course will introduce climbing techniques and safety instruction for beginner climbers while using a top rope. Climbing terms and systems will be taught and defined by guides. This course is a great way to get introduced into the world of climbing. Great for all ages and families. -All gear is provided. Half Day: $75 per person (with 3 or more people) Full Day: $85 per person ( with 3 or more people) |
(Greenbelt) Intermediate: Introduction to Lead Climbing
This course should be looked at as an introduction to lead climbing. In this course participants will be learning the fundamentals of lead climbing. During ground school(instruction that takes place off the wall) participants will learn the different parts of a quickdraw, how to properly clip, how to orient them on the wall and detailed instruction, demonstration on lead belay. Then they will be putting their skills to practice with a mock lead top rope. Guides will also put an emphasis on ways to mitigate added risks while lead climbing on the wall. -All gear is provided. Prerequisites- Must be a confident top rope belayer and be able to climb at least a 5.8-5.9. Failure to prove certain prerequisites for more advanced courses will result in instruction modifications from guides. Guides will be assessing skills at the beginning of the day of your climbing course for more advanced courses. This climbing course will be introducing the skills needed to effectively build sport anchors and the steps on how to clean them. During ground school guides will be going over how to build certain sport climbing anchors and the principles needed to know when setting up such anchors. Then participants will be putting the skills they learn into practice on the wall with a guide's supervision and feedback throughout. -All gear is provided. Prerequisites: Must know how to confidently lead climb without back clipping or z-clipping. Failure to prove certain prerequisites for more advanced courses will result in instruction modifications from guides. Guides will be assessing skills at the beginning of the day of your climbing course for more advanced courses. Full Day: $98 per person (with 3 or more people) |

Enchanted Rock Climbing Courses
If you are booking for a minor (17 yrs or younger) they need to be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or adult chaperone. Must be 8 years old or older to participate.
You do not need to pay the park entrance fee. Simply stop at the Ranger Station and inform them you are climbing with Texas Climbing Adventures. Please book this course at least 48 hours in advance as the park requires a 48 hour notice. Rough and steep terrain. Be prepared to hike this terrain 20-30 minutes to wall and back. Please be sure and bring plenty of water.

Full Days: start no later than 8:30 am, end 3:30 pm. All courses can only be booked with 3 or more participants to receive the group pricing per person listed. Courses do not have participants already signed up in them. Cancellation and Payment Policy: We require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations and rescheduling of activities. We will work with you to reschedule to a new date or if you need to cancel entirely we will provide a full refund minus 10% handling fee with 48 hours’ notice. If you cancel inside of 48 hours or do not show up, you will not be refunded, and will have to reschedule by paying full price. Weather can be unpredictable in and around Austin, TX. We keep a close eye on weather conditions. We will communicate weather as soon as we can, when needed for a reschedule. |
1-2 participants will need to book an individual course.
Individual courses are scheduled according to availability of the client and within park hours. Groups of 7 or more: 10 % discount per person (per day). This only applies to large group courses and non-profits. Groups of 6 or more do not have a half day option except for the beginner top rope courses and intro to lead sport climbing courses.
