As the oldest and most experienced climbing school in Texas, we have taught over 20,000 people to climb and have maintained a perfect safety record. Texas Climbing Adventures is a fully insured guide service with American Mountain Guides Association certified instructors.

Expert GuidesSafety and risk management are a top priority when we are leading climbing trips in the outdoors. Our lead guides are AMGA-certified Single Pitch Instructors (SPI). We also have medically trained and certified Wilderness First Responders available. Our instructors know the best and latest climbing techniques as well as a keen understanding of the local terrain.

Great Time for AllFor more than 25 years, we’ve been providing a fun-filled experience for climbers of all ages and experience levels. TCA has also worked with hundreds of corporations, scout troops, youth groups and schools. Our guides balance instruction with fun and encouragement to ensure a great outdoor adventure for everyone.

Where we climb
Austin Greenbelt Rock climbing within Barton Creek’s Greenbelt is a great way to climb close to Austin. Unique for an urban setting, the greenbelt offers moderate to hard climbing routes, easy access, and outstanding climbing quality. The beautiful, shaded setting provides amazing year-round climbing and miles of trails to hike before or after climbing.

Milton Reimer's RanchMilton Reimers Ranch is the crown jewel of central Texas limestone climbing with its panoramic views of the Texas Hill Country. Nestled in the heart of Travis County’s Dripping Springs, it offers steep cliffs along the Pedernales River. Reimers Ranch offers one of the highest concentrations of easy to moderate climbing routes in the area.

Enchanted RockLooking out over grasslands and tall oak forests, the breathtaking pink granite dome lives up to its name in a mystical way. This ancient, pristine granite offers excellent climbing that is second to none with routes ranging from beginner to expert. Enchanted Rock is the original Lone Star State climbing area and a perfect setting for everyone’s climbing adventure.

Medicine WallAn amazing limestone climbing area in San Antonio. This sport climbing destination is great for all experience levels. With more than 40 feet of climbing, this venue provides great terrain to learn entry level rock climbing skills and especially more advanced lead climbing and anchor building techniques.

Information on Courses:
-Half Days: start no later than 8:30 am, end 12:30 pm. Full Days: start no later than 8:30 am, end 3:30 pm.Scout groups and large groups are full days.
We can however be flexible with start and end times. Please request a start time change in the notes when making your booking.
-We provide all climbing gear needed for each course.
-You are responsible for bringing water and lunch or snacks for your day of climbing with us. Closed toe shoes are required for all courses. We also recommend bringing a backpack (not provided).

Cancellation and Payment Policy:
-We require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations and rescheduling of activities.
We will work with you to reschedule to a new date or if you need to cancel entirely we will provide a full refund minus 10% handling fee with 48 hours’ notice. If you cancel inside of 48 hours or do not show up, you will not be refunded, and will have to reschedule by paying full price.
-Weather can be unpredictable in and around Austin, TX. We keep a close eye on weather conditions. We will communicate weather as soon as we can, when needed for a reschedule.
