Youth Summer Camp


Summer Rock Climbing Camp Registration is Open!
Outside rock climbing camp will take place at the Barton Creek Greenbelt, and Reimers Ranch. Campers will get professional instruction on beginner to intermediate climbing skills with SPI AMGA certified climbing instructors.  The 5 day camp will include rock-climbing techniques, an introduction to equipment, and safety fundamentals. Human development and a connection to nature will be discussed and taught. Rock climbing is a personal journey. We teach using the challenge-by-choice method. We will encourage participation and focus on each climber's growth and mental and emotional skill development.  

Who: Kids ages 8-13

What: Rock climbing at The Barton Creek Greenbelt and Reimers Ranch

When: 8 am-3:30 pm, Monday - Friday 
June 2-6; June 9-13;  June 16-20 ~ July 7th-11th:  July 14th-18th;  July 21st-25th

Pick up and Drop Off: The back gate of Barton Springs Pool at Jaycee Fields 600 Azie Morton Rd Austin, TX 78704. We will meet no later than 8:30am and pick up will be at 3:30pm.  
 
What to bring/wear: Water (2 refillable water bottles), snacks, a packed lunch, bug spray, sunscreen, sunglasses, a backpack, comfortable athletic clothing, and closed-toe shoes (hiking or tennis shoes)as well as a swim suit and towel..

What we provide:  All climbing gear needed for the day including helmet, harness and climbing shoes for each participant. Trail mix,  fruit and additional water. Please let us know if your child has a nut or other allergy.

Cost: $400 flat rate per person. (No taxes or fees)

We will close bookings 48 hours before the first day of each week of camp. Once there are 10 spots filled for each week, we can put you on a waiting list for the next available week,​ or you can book one of our regular climbing courses that we provide on a day that works for you.

Cancellation Policy:  You must cancel at least 30 days in advance to receive a full refund.  You can change your camp date if there is an available spot.
