Cancellation Policies

Cancellation and Payment Policy for Private Instruction and Climbing Courses

We require a minimum of 72 hours’ notice for any cancellations or requests to reschedule private instruction or climbing courses. When sufficient notice is provided, we will gladly work with you to reschedule your booking or issue a credit for a future session.

In the event that we must cancel due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, a credit will be issued, valid for up to one year from the original booking date.
If a rescheduled date or credit does not meet your needs, a refund may be provided, less a 25% administrative fee.

We understand that unexpected situations can arise. If you have special circumstances, please contact us, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Cancellations for Large Groups and Scouts

  • Cancellation 72 hours before trip; reschedule or receive credit for a later trip at no charge.  If those options don’t work, you can receive a refund minus your deposit.
  • Less than 48 hours: Option to reschedule or credit for the future.  No refund (exceptions may apply for emergencies at our discretion)
  • No-shows: No refund

Weather Policy
Rock climbing is weather-dependent, but not all weather conditions require cancellation.
Trips will proceed in:
  • Light rain (depending on rock type and safety)
  • Overcast conditions
  • Mild wind
Trips may be canceled or modified for:
  • Heavy rain or thunderstorms
  • Lightning
  • High winds
  • Extreme heat or cold
  • Unsafe rock conditions (e.g., wet/slippery surfaces, rockfall risk)
  • Enchanted Rock State Park closure of trails
If the guide cancels due to weather or safety:
  • You will receive the option to reschedule or credit to reschedule in the future at no cost.  If those options don’t work, you will receive a refund minus your deposit.
If the client cancels due to weather concerns:
  • Standard cancellation policy applies unless conditions are officially deemed unsafe by the guide service
Late Changes Due to Weather
  • Weather decisions are typically made 24 before the trip, but may occur the morning of if conditions change rapidly.
Safety First
All trips are at the discretion of the guide. Safety decisions are final.
